This is an extended version of me in a new location, with some stories to add and a past to reckon on. Anyway, it is still me in writing.

1. An old me

My name is Hoa Nguyen, a journalist from Vietnam who had spent 16 years on reporting, editing…

I was walking past Peet’s Coffee along East-West Highway in Silver Spring, Maryland reckoning back and forth between hilly pads of blossoming coffee trees in Vietnam’s highlands and its products on a shelf at an Asian Mart elsewhere in the US. Vietnam dominated the coffee industry as the second-largest producer…

Not as I expected, UMD campus was more vibrant with construction work and students getting in line for a Covid test.

My name is Hoa Nguyen, but I love to go by Henry Nguyen because it is much more comfortable to pronounce and familiar to most people in the United States. ( I have tested this with my friends at UMD Campus, and it works, actually.)

Thế giới tang hoang

Nguyệt quế thiên đàng

Héo úa

GROUP 6: THE IDENTITY PROJECT

Tuesday, July 24th, 2018:

We held a meeting at Parker Hall to assign five interviewers for the project. Guess how the conversation went? It was kind of an interesting exchange of ideas and discussion of the processes. The interviewers were Lindsey, Alex, Victoria, Rawad, Gaby and Josh.

We ran a pilot interview with one of the participants to see if the set of questions we had compiled were germane to the requirements of the project.

So far so good!

Hoa Nguyen (Henry)

I love to tell stories. My stories cover issues in digital economy, content creation and sometimes, data science.
